My name is Acewin Tam and I am currently a second-year student pursuing an undergraduate professional degree in Architecture. I attend the New Jersey Institute of Technology as a part of their Honors College.
Ever since I was a child, I had always been interested in both design and the STEM fields, so architecture is a perfect combination of the two to me. My passion for architecture was confirmed through related courses and opportunities available to me during my high school years. Through hands-on practice, I am constantly challenged to not only improve my technical and design skills but also conceptual thinking and collaborative skills.
Outside of my coursework, I am involved in Transect, an organization that creates a publication of exemplary architecture student work that semester, the Chinese Undergraduate Student Association, and Circle K International, an international organization dedicated to service. Beyond the school environment, I love traveling to take on new experiences and environments as well as have a passion for photography, to keep memories of different places I go to, and graphic design.
I am honored to have had the opportunity to represent my class year in Transect and Super Jury, as well as receive awards for my architecture work.
